I don’t know about you, but I am loving this new cooler weather we’ve had the past several days. It has been nice to be able to spend some sweat-free hours outdoors!
Fall truly is my favorite time of year. In fact, the past few mornings have been so chilly that I’ve needed some warmer clothes, making me realize its time to stock up on fall and winter clothes for my daughter.
Not to worry moms because we are just one week away from the second Here We Grow Again Kids Consignment Sale right here in Hendricks County! The Here We Grow Again fall/winter sale is scheduled for Aug. 24-26 at the Expo Hall at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex, 1900 E. Main St., Danville, Indiana, but I have a way for you to be part of an insider-only presale! More on that in a minute.
Here We Grow Again made its debut last spring with its first Hendricks County sale. I volunteered and shopped at last spring’s sale, and not only did I find some great clothes, toys and other items for my daughter but it was all at a great price. (Several of the items even had the tags still on them!)
Cori & Katie, two Hendricks County moms who run the Hendricks County sale truly have done an excellent job of getting great quality items for buyers. They offer great merchandise in a fun and relaxed environment.
I got the chance to chat with Katie recently about big changes made to this sale along with some insider shopping tips!

Q: So Katie, what are some insider tips for a great shopping experience?
“The best advice is to come prepared. We will have a map of where everything is when you enter the Expo Hall so you will not forget anything that you had planned on buying. Make a list of the items you need for fall/winter. Do that even though it is warm outside. Don’t forget about holiday items and winter coats and gloves. Give yourself time to look , so you are not rushed since there will be over 13,000 items on the floor to look at. If you need to bring your kids then bring a stroller with plenty of snacks and items to do while you are shopping. I know personally how hard it is to shop with a little one so I would always try to trade shifts with a good friend so I would not have to bring my baby! Sunday is the half price day which is a GREAT way to come back and see what items are still there. It helps to have things thinned out a bit so you can take a better look at what is on the rack.”Q: What kinds of items can families expect to find at this sale?
“As with every sale that we have, you will be able to find clothing from maternity, infant, toddler, kids and junior clothing. That includes coats, socks and shoes for those sizes as well. We always have lots of toddler beds, bath items, bedding, toys, and bigger infant items such as strollers. This sale we will have winter items such as coats and boots along side holiday costumes and outfits. We have some double strollers tagged already which is a new addition to our sale!”Q: What will be new and different from your last sale?
“We will have a lot more room. In fact, we gained 8,000 square feet! We ran out of space last time, which was a blessing because that means we had tons of items! Being in the main building this sale means closer bathrooms and AC/heat! We struggled last sale with the weather and it made it hard to be in the barn with poor lighting and no heat!”
Now that you are in the know, you have no reason to miss Hendricks County’s largest kids consignment sale. (Please note the presale is open from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 23 for teachers, vendors, consignors and military.

As a relatively new Grandma, I am looking for some fun outdoor toys with wheels for my two-year-old grandson. I might venture over to the little girl’s clothes and look for something for my four-month-old grandaughter! Sounds like fun! Helen

This sounds awesome! I have an ever growing 4 yr old boy and 3 yr old girl and another baby on the way! I am a military veteran but not active duty so I would LOVE a presale pass! (especially since I will be out of town that weekend and wouldn’t otherwise be able to go). Thanks for the opportunity!

This is a great idea. I hope to find jeans and sweaters for my almost 2 year old who seems to be on a never ending growth spurt.

I am hoping to find a “Little Tikes” or a “Step” girl playhouse. I have been looking for one that is in good play condition that has NO sun fading with no luck yet.
I am really exited to come to the sale to see if I can find one. As well as vintage “Fisher Price”, “Little Tikes” and “Step2″ dishes, playfood and play kitchen items.

Hi, all! I’m going to be scouting out some 5t items for my son and 3t items for my daughter! Hoping to snag some girly toys for December- when I get a double whammy of Christmas and her birthday 3 days later!

Love finding good clothes at bargin prices. I went to this sale in the Spring and to be honest I did think the prices were a little high but was able to find shirts for a dollar. IMO

Please even though it is past the 17th of Aug. Pass for me, I ust ran across your website and even if you have to e-mail me and leave it at the door that would be great. Find myself raising my 9 year old grand daughter unexpectedly and she desperately needs clothes. She is either a 14 reg in jeans/pants or a 0 in jr sizes and needs shoes as well… Do you usually have these sizes?

Thanks to everyone for their inquiries. I believe we have sent all the passes out to those who qualified. A few people missed the deadline, and a few others only submitted their first name, and we needed full names. We gave away more than 20 presale passes.
