Santa Claus is coming to town and he will be making stops all over Hendricks County this holiday season. Here’s a look at just a few places where you can meet up with Santa.
Old Saint Nick will make an appearance at the Avon Town Hall for the Avon Community Christmas Tree Lighting. Festivities are from 6-7 p.m., Dec. 1. Meet Santa, and then enjoy warm treats, holiday music and fireworks.
Hendricks Regional Health YMCA invites you to enjoy Breakfast with Santa at the Olive Garden in Avon. The breakfast is from 8-10 a.m., Dec. 8 and proceeds benefit the Y for All Campaign. For reservations, call (317) 273-9622.
Santa will ride into Brownsburg on a parade float during the Christmas Under the Stars Parade and Light Show on Dec. 1. The Parade starts at 6 p.m. and then Santa will be available for pictures inside the Town Hall from 7-9 p.m.
The next weekend Saint Nick will be having breakfast in Brownsburg. On Dec. 8, the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA invites you to Breakfast with Santa from 8-10 a.m. at Boulder Creek restaurant. For reservations, call (317) 273-9622.
Santa Claus will make a stop at the Clayton Town Hall on Saturday, Dec. 8. Kids can tell Santa about their wish list from 1-3 p.m. For more information, call (317) 539-2130.
Visit Santa at the annual Winterland Light Show in the Train Station at Ellis Park through Christmas Eve. Before you go, be sure to call for Santa’s hours. The light show brightens the park from 6-9 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays and 6-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call (317) 745-0670.
Have breakfast with the Jolly Elf from 8:30-11 a.m., Dec. 1 at Danville Community Middle School during The Tri Kappa Breakfast with Santa. Tickets are $5 for ages 2 and up. In addition to breakfast, kids can enjoy crafts, food, games and a Santa Shoppe. Kids under 8 will receive a gift. To purchase tickets, call Robin at (317) 432-1175.
As you do your Christmas shopping at Metropolis Mall in Plainfield, stop and see Santa. Santa Claus is located next to JCPenney and will be there through Christmas Eve.
Santa also will spend time with ponies in Plainfield. Strides to Success invites you to Christmas with Santa and the Ponies from 4-8:30 p.m., Dec. 14 in their state-of-the-art heated barn. Have a family photo with Santa and a Christmas Pony, make a photo frame, play reindeer games and more. Strides to Success is located at 1350 Terry Drive in Plainfield, behind Plainfield High School.
Santa will be available for pictures at the Plainfield Recreation Center from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Dec. 15. Kids can also enjoy crafts, cookie decorating, face decorating and an inflatiable obstacle course and bounce house. The entire event is free.
Enjoy Breakfast with Santa from 8-11 a.m., Dec. 1 at the American Legion in Pittsboro. The all-you-can-eat breakfast is $5. The American Legion is located in Scamahorn Park in Pittsboro.
Santa Claus will arrive in North Salem on a fire truck during the North Salem Old Fashioned Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 8. Get your free photos with Santa from 1-3 p.m. in the Community Building.
