Inaugural Hendricks County Home and Garden Show, March 22-23 [GIVEAWAY]

Spring is just around the corner, and you know what that means? It’s time to get a little work done around the house, or if you are like me it means it’s time to get a lot of work done around the house!

While Pinterest, HGTV and the local do-it-yourself stores can provide inspiration, there is something about seeing it all in one place!

HHSLogoTMFortunately, this year Hendricks County is hosting its first-ever Home and Garden Show. This event is the perfect time to meet with local vendors to find out what they can offer to help make your remodeling, landscaping and decorating dreams come true.

The Hendricks County Home and Garden Show will be held in Danville, Indiana, inside the Expo Hall at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex and promises to be a great time for all.

The two-day event begins at 3 p.m. March 22 and ends that night at 9 p.m. The following day the doors remain open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission is $10 at the door and children under 12 are free. Advanced tickets cost $5, and can be purchased online by clicking here, or you can get them at Indiana Members Credit Union Westside and State Bank of Lizton locations. Proceeds from the tickets sales benefit Sheltering Wings.

We also will give away free tickets to the show. More on that in a moment.

Becky Homko, Hendricks County Home and Garden Show organizer, said the passion behind planning the show is “to give Hendricks County’s artisans and craftsmen an opportunity to share their talents with the community. We also thought it would be great to help a nonprofit that is doing great things in the same community.”

Some of the vendors include White Oak Construction, Aesthete Design, Legendary Technologies and many more.

Along with more than 80 vendors, speakers are still being scheduled. Becky said to keep watching the website for times. Parents be sure to bring the kids out too. The State Bank of Lizton booth will be passing out Lemonade Stand start-up packets to all kids who are interested.

The show also includes a special networking event (prior to it opening to the public) from 1 to 3 p.m. March 22 for the business community to network with the exhibitors of the event. You can purchase these tickets online. The event will be facilitated by Jack Klemeyer of GYB Coaching.

As I mentioned before, as a thank you to all my followers I have a special giveaway!

We have Hendricks County Home and Garden Show passes for one of our great readers. Just comment below by 5 p.m. Monday, March 18 telling us what spring project you are wanting to tackle, and you will be entered to win.

We have taken out a side porch, and put in a driveway to my husband new garage, last fall. now I have to re landscape my whole yard. Focusing on curb appeal and a water feature in back yard. Hope to get some Ideas at your show.

There are a lot of things we would like to do; however we are taking it one thing at a time. We lost a few small pines in the drought last year that we would like to replace. There are also a few other places we would like to add large shrubs or pines along the house.

We have a nice patio outside that we would like to spruce up as well. There are a lot of tentative plans we have had, but would like to get more ideas.

We just purchased our house 18 months ago and were needing ideas for landscaping around the house and porch, such as shrubs, flowers and various ideas.

We are always doing something around our twenty-two year old house. This Spring will include finish painting the exterior and focus on landscaping needs on one side of our house. The back porch needs replaced too.
